The Audi A8 stands out as a luxury vehicle that owners rave about for its comfort, impressive performance, and elegant design. The Quattro all-wheel drive system is particularly favored for enhancing road safety and handling across diverse driving conditions. However, some drivers feel that its price point can be higher than other options in the luxury segment, which might be a drawback for potential buyers considering budget constraints.

LWB version a great chauffeuring car. Forget the S class and all the surrounding hype. The A8 has better roadholding, better fuel economy , cheaper to run, better equipped and all round superior vehicle. I know, I’ve had S class and A8 before. Audi wins hands down!

Quick Summary
The Audi A8 (2018-present) is a considered, technologically advanced, and understated luxury saloon that offers a compelling alternative to the Mercedes-Benz S-Class and BMW 7 Series. Available in standard and long-wheelbase L variants, the A8 delivers exceptional interior quality, spacious accommodation, and effortless performance. The range includes a choice of 3.0-litre petrol and diesel V6 engines, a plug-in hybrid 60 TFSIe option, and the high-performance S8 with a 563bhp V8 twin-turbo. All models feature quattro four-wheel drive and adaptive air suspension for a supple, refined ride quality that's perfect for executive transport.
The A8 blends fine looks, incredible perceived build quality, and plentiful equipment into a well-rounded package that appeals to discerning buyers who value understated elegance over ostentation. The plug-in hybrid variant offers significant tax and fuel savings for city-bound drivers, whilst the diesel 50 TDI provides excellent economy for longer journeys. With a 505-litre boot (350 litres in the PHEV), comprehensive safety features, and advanced driver aids including semi-autonomous driving capability, the A8 remains a very compelling choice in the luxury executive car segment.
Best for: Wealthy buyers seeking understated luxury, those requiring spacious executive transport, drivers wanting advanced technology and comfort, and business users considering the tax-efficient plug-in hybrid variant.
Not ideal for: Budget-conscious buyers, those prioritising sporty handling, families needing maximum practicality, or drivers wanting the simplest infotainment systems.
