This van was excellent just what I wanted but unfortunately the latest Vivaro L2 is 60mm shorter in load era than the older L2 model.

All the features needed. Love the automatic locking doors. Well worth the money. Always had a Renault Trafic but this is better

Vauxhall Vivaro (2014-2019) Pros and Cons
| Pros | Cons |
|---|---|
| Wide choice of sizes and layouts | Low-quality cabin plastics |
| Refined and economical turbodiesel engines | Diesels need to be worked hard when the van is fully loaded |
| Enjoyable to drive | Payload is nothing special |
Quick Summary
The Vauxhall Vivaro (2014-2019) is a practical and refined light commercial vehicle that shares its underpinnings with the Renault Trafic. Available with long and short wheelbases and high and low roofs, it offers versatile configurations including panel van, Combi, and minibus variants. The low-floor design facilitates easy loading, and the cabin features an MPV-like layout with a six-way adjustable seat and adjustable steering column. All models include a metal bulkhead, electric windows, door mirrors, DAB radio, Bluetooth connectivity, and comprehensive electronic safety systems including Adaptive Load Control.
The Vivaro is powered by refined and economical turbodiesel engines, with Euro 5 versions offering 1.6-litre units in 89bhp or 113bhp ecoFlex variants, plus BiTurbo models with 118bhp or 138bhp. Euro 6 compliant versions arrived in late 2015 with a 5bhp power boost and Adblue technology. All models achieve at least 40mpg officially, with the BiTurbo 120 reaching 47.9mpg. Real-world fuel consumption typically ranges from mid-30s to 40mpg depending on usage. The Vivaro is almost car-like to drive, quiet, and refined, making it popular with one-man operators and fleet drivers. Service intervals are recommended at 25,000 miles or two years, though many owners prefer annual servicing. Insurance sits in groups 9E to 11E.
Best for: One-man band operators, fleet drivers, and those seeking a refined, economical, and enjoyable-to-drive light commercial vehicle with versatile configurations.
Not ideal for: Buyers requiring maximum payload capacity or those who need to regularly haul very heavy loads without working the engine hard.

The Verdict
You should buy the Vivaro if: You're a one-man operator or fleet driver seeking a refined, economical, and enjoyable-to-drive light commercial vehicle with versatile configurations and good value for money.
Consider alternatives if: You require maximum payload capacity or need to regularly haul very heavy loads without working the engine hard.
Competitive Position: The Vauxhall Vivaro (2014-2019) is a strong contender in the light commercial vehicle market, offering excellent refinement, economy, and driving enjoyment. Its MPV-like cabin and versatile configurations make it particularly appealing to one-man operators and fleet drivers. Whilst the Renault Trafic shares the same underpinnings and the Ford Transit Custom offers greater payload, the Vivaro's refined turbodiesel engines, low running costs, and car-like driving experience make it an outstanding choice for those prioritising comfort and economy. The Volkswagen Transporter commands a premium but offers superior build quality. Overall, the Vivaro represents exceptional value in the used light commercial market.
