About Volvo V50
3.8 Overall rating(4 reviews)
Jun 11, 2021
The car is an excellent premium vehicle. It still looks modern and feels solid and safe. The review asks what is missing. Nothing really, in the context of a 2009 medium priced car. By todays standards it lacks some toys. The infotainment system is old fashioned, no DAB or Bluetooth and no built in satnav. Also projector headlamps, no LEDs. But this is no fault of the design. Its a 12 year old car.

DPF kills it .... fantastic drive , very comfortable , but problems with the DPF seriously ruin it ... driving along the motorway , sudden loss of power and thats you goosed in Limp Mode until you can get off at the next junction ... switch off , start up , switch off , start up until it clears itself ...
Jul 20, 2023
The car seems to have most of everything , the only thing missing is a satnav, not sure about the price and don’t really have anything to compare it with, our other car is an SUV.

Volvo V50 Review (2004-2012)
3
of 5 overall
Driving3/5
Practicality3/5
Running costs4/5
Tech and equipment3/5
It lacks the space of some rivals and the sportiness of others, but the Volvo V50 is nevertheless a sound used car buy that majors on comfort and a high-quality feel. It still looks good despite its age, and can be had with your choice of extremely efficient diesel engines, simple and reliable petrols, or even a fire-breathing turbo engine.
